Potomac State sweeps pair over Roane State

Morristown, TN- Potomac State banged out twenty-five hits to sweep a pair of games over Roane State Community College on Wednesday afternoon.

PSC won the opener 10-2, then followed that up with a 14-5 win to complete the sweep.

In game one, Jake Arnold raised his record to 2-1 with a five-inning effort.  Arnold struck out four and allowed four hits and just one run.  Aidan Van Rider worked the final two innings to close out the win.

Cam Cole, Dakota Miller and Jimmy Sadler each had two hits for the Catamounts. Miller and Morgan Little each drove in a pair of runs, while Sadler had three runs batted in.

Zach Brennan hit a two-run home run in the second inning for Potomac State.

Parker Henderson homered for Roane State with a solo shot in the seventh inning.

In game two, PSC starter Ben McDougal improved to 2-0 with a seven-strikeout performance.  Diego Barrett worked three scoreless innings to pick up his second save of the season.

Nik Rubendall led the way offensively with a double and two singles and five runs batted in.

Little, Brennan, Chance Satcho and Kris Sutton each added two hits for PSC.

Sadler drove in a pair as did Koice Quintanilla who doubled to drive in two.

Potomac State improves to 7-3 and will be back in action on Thursday when they face off with #2 ranked Walters State for a pair of games at 11am.
