Rubendall, Sadler help Potomac State sweep pair over Marietta

Keyser, WV- Nik Rubendall's extra-inning home run in the opening game propelled Potomac State to a sweep over Marietta on Sunday afternoon at Golden Park.

With the score all tied at three apiece, Rubendall opened the ninth inning hitting a 2-0 fastball over the left field fence to give the Catamounts the 4-3 win.

Rubendall had two hits on the day, driving in two runs.  Morgan Little also had a pair of hits for PSC.

Chris Curler picked up the win with four innings of solid relief work on the mound.  Curler did not allow a run and struck out five.

In game two Jimmy Sadler drove in four runs with a pair of doubles to lift the Catamounts to a 5-4 win.  Rubendall drove in the other run with an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Anthony Dixon picked up the win in relief of Chase Lautner.   Eddie Thompson worked the final inning for the save.  The three combined for eleven strikeouts in the game.
