Tyler Henshaw's impressive effort today helped Potomac State to a split with USC Sumter.

Sumter, SC- The great Hall of Famer Yogi Berra once said, "It's Déjà vu all over again." if one didn't know better the great New York Yankee might have been talking about Potomac State's Tyler Henshaw.

For the second straight season Henshaw dazzled in the Catamounts southern trip to deliver a huge win.  This year the sophomore left-hander threw six strong innings to salvage a split on Saturday with USC Sumter.

Henshaw struck out three and walked none as Potomac State picked up the 2-1 win.

Almost one year ago Henshaw shut out the powerful Walters State program at Sumter's Riley Park with a complete game effort winning 1-0.

The Fire Ants, behind the strong pitching of Jeremiah Locklear won game one 3-1.

Locklear outdueled Potomac state starter Alexander Meckley by striking out three in 5 innings of work.  Meckley was just as dominant striking out seven in four innings of work.

Brandon Osypczuk hit a solo home run for Sumter.

In Game 2 back-to-back hits from Diego Barrett and Jimmy Sadler helped score two runs for the Catamounts.  These were the only two hits for PSC, but they made them count.

Henshaw did the rest keeping the Sumter hitters off balance all day.

Potomac state improves to 3-1, while Sumter falls to 9-5.

The two teams will play another doubleheader on Sunday at Riley Park beginning at 11 AM.
