Potomac State uses a pair of shutouts to sweep Cecil.

Keyser, WV- Potomac State did not allow a run in 13 innings during Wednesday's doubleheader sweep over Cecil College at Golden Park.

In the opener Owen Keim threw a complete game four-hit shutout to lead PSC to a 4-0 win.  The freshman struck out four and walked none to improve to 4-0 on the year.  Keim scattered four singles as he threw just 86 pitches for the win.

PSC took a 1-0 lead in the third as Josh Hoffman walked and then stole second.  The throw from the catcher sailed into centerfield bringing Hoffman to third.  Anthony Swenda then grounded out to pick up the RBI and score Hoffman.

The Catamounts pilled away in the sixth when Clay Maholic doubled with one out.  Austin Prior then ran for Maholic and scored on and RBI double from Morgan Little.

Trevor Thomas then launched a home run scoring Little and bringing the score to 4-0.

In game two, Jared Adams went four strong innings, allowing just one infield hit to lead PSC to a 10-0 win.  Adams struck out two, walked two and improves to 2-1 on the season.

Avery Heiple and MacHugh Messier each worked a scoreless inning for PSC.

The Catamounts jumped out to a quick lead with a five-run 1st inning.

Hoffman homered to lead off the game and PSC received RBI hits from Swenda, Caleb Taylor, Brady Whitacre during the opening frame.

After adding a run in the fourth, PSC put the game away an inning early with a 4-spot in the sixth inning.

A two-run single from Little and Thomas' second home run of the day wrapped up the game via the mercy rule.

Swenda finished with three singles, a walk, two runs and a stolen base.

Potomac State improves to 18-9, while Cecil drops to 13-16.

The Catamounts will be back at Golden Park this weekend for doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday.
