Catamounts rebound in game two for split with Niagara

Keyser, WV- Potomac State used a six-run third inning for a 7-4 win over Niagara County Community College in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon at Golden Park.

Niagara won the opening game 14-4.

Anthony Swenda led the Catamounts with three hits and an RBI in the PSC win.

PSC had six base hits in the big third inning, one each from Swenda, Brady Whitacre, Jack Hoeymans, Koice Quintanilla, Bryce Turner and Josh Hoffman.

Owen Keim picked the win with four innings of work, allowing just one run on four hits.

In the opener Niagara came out swinging as they scored five runs in the opening inning.  In all, the Thunder Wolves had thirteen hits led by Hunter Loomis who had three hits.

The lone bright spot for PSC was a three-run home run from Chance Satcho in the fifth inning.

PSC, now 7-7 was scheduled to play SUNY Ulster a single game on Saturday, but the game was canceled.

The Catamounts will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Marietta for a pair of games at 1PM.
