Catamounts hit five home runs in sweep over Cecil

North East, MD- Four different players went deep for Potomac State on Monday afternoon as they swept a pair of games from Cecil College.

Graham Brown led the way in game one with two home runs, a pair of singles and six runs batted in.

Zack Whitacre, Caleb Taylor and Josh Hoffman also went deep as PSC rolled to a 13-4 win.

Avery Heiple was solid on the mound with five innings of work, striking out nine and allowing three runs.  He improved his record to 4-0.  Jared Adams worked the final two innings.

In game two, Jack Hoeymans homered, and Dale Houser’s two run triple led the Catamounts to a 6-1 win.

Robert Kelley struck out seven Cecil hitters in six innings of work.  The freshman scattered seven hits and allowed just a single run.

Brown and Whitacre added two hits each as Potomac State improved to 16-3.
