Potomac State Baseball sweeps pair to improve to 9-2

Keyser, WV- Four hits from Caleb Taylor led Potomac State past Christendom College in the opening game of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday at Golden Park. 

Taylor went 4-5 with three singles and a double and drove in three runs in the 12-4 win. Zack Whitacre was a home run short of the cycle with a single, double, and triple. Whitacre scored five runs as he was on base in each of his five plate appearances.

MacHugh Messier picked up the win as he made his first collegiate start for PSC.  Messier went five innings, striking out four to pick up the win.  Ryan Shoemaker and Dalton Benson each worked scoreless innings to complete the win.

In game two, Graham Brown went 3-4 with an RBI and Dale Houser tripled, singled and scored three runs as the Catamounts won 7-2.

Jonathan Money and Jared Adams combined on the mound for PSC.  Money struck out six in 3 1/3 innings of work.

Potomac State continues their homestand with a 1pm doubleheader on Sunday against Scotland Prep.
