Charleston, WV- Brandon Schaeffer delivered a complete game gem in the opening game and Juwuan Weaver’s late-inning RBI sacrifice fly in the nightcap led Potomac State College to a sweep over the University of Charleston on Wednesday afternoon.

Schaeffer struck out a season high twelve batters, walking just one to pick up the complete-game shutout as the Catamounts rolled to a 6-0 win.

Joel Spishock drove in three runs with two singles, a sacrifice fly and a ground out.  Hayden Almond doubled and drove in a run as well.

In game two, Weaver’s sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth broke a 6-all tie to lift PSC to a 7-6 win.

After one out in the sxith, Connor Kelly delivered a triple to deep left field.  Dale Houser came on to pinch run for Kelly and then scored on a nifty slide at the plate on Weaver’s fly ball.  Weaver finished 1-1 with a walk, single and the sacrifice fly.

Foster Conis worked one and two-thirds of scoreless relief to pick up his first win.  Nathan Kerr worked two scoreless innings to finish the game and pick up his second save of the year.
