Baseball: Potomac State sweeps a pair over Boyce

Keyser, WV- Brett Whiteman and Nathan Kerr delivered solid starting pitching and clutch hitting propelled Potomac State to a sweep over CCAC Boyce on Sunday afternoon at Golden Park.

In game one Whitemen pitched 6 2/3 innings striking out six and allowed just one earned run as the Catamounts won 5-2.

Clutch RBI hits from Pete Costigan, Brandon Schaeffer, Austin Chavis and Hayden Almond led the way for PSC.

Almond finished with three of the Catamounts nine hits.

In game two Kerr went five innings striking out three and Foster Conis worked the final two innings to close out the win.

Dale Houser drove in four runs with a single and a pair of triples.  Almond, Costigan, Connor Kelley and Juwuan Weaver also drove in runs for Potomac State.

The Catamounts improve to 12-4 and will host Lakeland Community College on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. for a pair of games at Golden Park.
