Cross Country starts the season with strong results

The Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams starting their 2024 season at Westmoreland, running the same course they finished the 2023 season on.  Despite high heat and humidity levels, the Catamounts ran with intensity.  Phaedra Payne was the top finisher for the Catamount women, running the 5k course in 23:12.60 and earning 3rd place overall.  Coming in 4th and 5th respectively were Addison Lease and Baylee JarrettLeah McKenzie in 9th and Averi Everline in 11th helped earn 34 points for the Catamounts and secured the first place finish for the team. Hannah Hardy, Morgan Niland, and Sarah Lasko finished 19th, 28th, and 29th overall. 

In the men's race, Griffin Paugh ran the 5k distance in 18:05.80 and earned 5th overall.  William Boddy, Logan Hetrick, and Emmett Slayman finished in 20th, 21st, and 37th overall. 

The Catamounts will travel to Shenandoah on Friday, September 13th for their next race of the season.
