Catamounts set PRs in field of over 500 runners

Gettysburg, PA

In less than ideal conditions on a cold and wet course, the Catamounts continue to improve their times on the 6k and 8k courses. The Gettysburg Invitational has been run for 34 years, with 31 of those under the guidance of former assistant and head coach Aubrey Shenk. Coach Shenk's illustrious career came to an end after 35 years of service to this college and the campus community. In honor of his accomplishments and efforts with the Gettysburg Cross Country Program, the Gettysburg Athletic Department dedicated the meet in his name, forever making it the Aubrey Shenk Invitational.  Gettysburg College's home course is a gently rolling, relatively flat course run mostly on grass and dirt/gravel.

The WVU Potoamac State men placed 23rd with Griffin Paugh leading the way for the Catamounts and coming in 134 out of 267 male runners.  Men's results are as follows:

Place Name Points
134 Griffin Paugh 103
168 Will Haberlein 122
237 Jaxen Ratcliff 155
246 Isaiah Wharton 160
255 Daykota Hartley  165
260 Heath Knight 168

On the women's side, the team placed 19th and Arrisyn Amtower finished 104 out of 244 runners. Women's results are as follows:

This race wraps up the regular season meets for the Catamounts.  Up next is the Region 20 Championships at Westmoreland on October 28th.  The women's team will be seeking to defend their 2022 Region 20 team title and the men will be looking to also reach the team podium this year.
