Larry Kruk enters his second year as Head Coach of the women’s basketball team at WVU Potomac State College for the 2020-21 season.

During his first season at the helm, Kruk led the Catamounts to an overall 10-10 record and the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship. Under Kruk, freshman guard Alexis Turner was named to the NJCAA Region XX Division II Honorable Mention Team for the 2019-20 season.

Prior to being named head coach Kruk served as assistant to former Head Coach Jim Walton and the Lady Catamounts for seven years, from the 2012-13 through the 2018-19 season.

As an assistant with Potomac State, Kruk was involved in every facet of coaching. His responsibilities included directing the programs recruiting efforts, assisting with game plan development, overseeing the conditioning and weight training programs and individual skill development.

Kruk knows firsthand the successes the Lady Catamounts have experienced. “I have assisted the women’s basketball team in winning four Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Titles and five trips to the Region XX Tournament.” Kruk continued, “Winning a Region Championship is a goal we’ve come close to, I would like us to accomplish that.”

When asked about his vision for the program's future, Kruk states simple directives, “I hope to build off the success we had in the 2019-20 season and in my time as an assistant and keep all the players in great academic standing and help them be successful in life.”

Kruk played basketball for Potomac State College from 2003-2005. He was a member of the 2004 Region XX Championship team.

A resident of Keyser, Kruk holds an Associate of Arts from Potomac State and a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University. He also works as an Admissions Counselor in the WVU Potomac State College Office of Enrollment.
