Monaca, PA

The Women's Basketball team traveled to the Community College of Beaver County (PA) for the CCBC Tip Off Classic.  The tournament brought together WVU Potomac State, Westmoreland, CCBC (Beaver), and Garrett College in a tri-state NJCAA Division II showcase. 

Westmoreland dropped their women's basketball team for the year, leaving only CCBC as an opponent this weekend. 

The Catamounts took the lead early in the game and maintained it the entire time. Chelcie Forrester led the Catamounts with her 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Three other Catamounts hit double digit points with Kelly Ours, Talynn Mcdonald, and Alexis Taylor contributing.  Overall the Catamounts shot 50% from the field and 70% from the line, taking advantage of the opportunities provided to them.  The wrapped up the game winning 80-68 and improve to 1-1 overall. 

Up next the Catamounts return to Keyser to take on Anne Arundel Community College on November 18th in Region 20 Division II competition.
