The Potomac State Women's basketball team will begin its journey for a Region 20 championship when it travels to Garrett College 5 p.m. Tuesday for a quarterfinal game in the 2022-23 Region 20 Division II Tournament.

RECORDS
• Records: Potomac State heads to Garrett as the sixth seed after recording a 12-12 overall record during the regular season. The host Lakers earned the third seed after going 19-3 overall.

Region 20 TOURNAMENT SETUP
The top eight teams in the Div II standings at the end of the year make the region tournament, with each team playing a quarterfinal game. The final four will play in the semifinals and the winners will face off in the Region 20 Tournament Final for a chance to move on to the district finals.
 
CCBC Essex and Montgomery are seeded first and second followed by No. 3 Garrett, No. 4 Howard, No. 5 Chesapeake, No. 6 Potomac State, No. 7 Southern MD, and No. 8 CCBC Catonsville.
 
The winner of Tuesday's game between the Catamounts and Lakers will play the winner of Southern MD vs Montgomery, Friday.

SEASON SERIES BETWEEN THE CATAMOUNTS AND LAKERS
Potomac State and Garrett split the season series with each team winning on the opposing teams floor. Potomac State beat The Lakers, 70-68 in OT, in Garrett on Nov. 29 with Garrett getting a measure of redemption with a 77-58 victory at Lough Gym on Feb. 6.
