Women's Basketball Tops Westmoreland

Kelsey O'Neal had a game-high 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lift Potomac State to a 82-52 victory over Westmoreland County Community College at Lough Gym, Saturday afternoon.

After going down 2-0 to start the game, the Catamounts took off, kept and increased their lead the rest of the game.

Alexis Yanosky dished out six assists to pair with 16 points and six boards for the Catamounts, and Talynn Mcdonald added 16 points and six rebounds.

Potomac State shot 6-13 from the field and 2-2 from three in the first half to take a 46-28 lead into the break. The Catamounts continued to increase their lead in the second half, not allowing Westmoreland any chance to come back.

Later in the half, Kiera Rettallick made a shot from behind the arc with just under four minutes left to play to give Potomac State its largest lead of 30 to all but seal it.

Mercedes Majors scored a team-high 20 points and snatched 8 rebounds for the Wolfpack. Makayla Boda provided 17 points and 8 boards.
