WVU Potomac State College women's basketball team cruised to their 6th win of the season Wednesday night at Lough Gymnasium when they took down the Allegany College of Maryland Trojans, 80-37.

The victory marks the Catamounts second win over ACM in eight days. Potomac State beat Allegany 107-32 on Nov. 9th in Cumberland.

The Catamount's Alexis Yanosky started strong, leading her team in the first quarter with 7 points. Trojan Haley Malone nearly kept pace with Yanosky with 6 first-quarter points of her own. PSC led 19-12 at the end of the first quarter.

The game unraveled quickly for the visiting team in the second quarter. Potomac State held Allegany to one field goal on 13 attempts and outscored the Trojans 24-3 for a 43-15 halftime advantage.

Allegany's frigid shooting continued in the third quarter, hitting just 2-17 from the field. Meanwhile, the Catamounts enjoyed efficient offensive execution, connecting on 8 of 14 field goal attempts. Potomac State's lead grew to 64-21 after three quarters.

Both teams chipped in 16 points in the fourth quarter. Catamount Nia Bryant led all fourth quarter scorers with 8 points. Final score 80-37 in favor of PSC.

Sophomore Yanosky had another outstanding game for the Catamounts with a game-high 20 points and a game-high 6 assists to go along with 9 rebounds and 2 steals.

Bryant was the Catamount's second highest scorer with 13 points while teammate Kelsey O'Neal finished with a 10 point and 10 rebound double-double.

Malone led the Trojans with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Catamounts (6-1) travel to Frederick, MD on December 2nd to take on Frederick Community College at 5 p.m.
