
Game 1 Recap:
Potomac State delivered a dominant performance in their game against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, cruising to a 13-0 victory in a shortened five-inning contest. Potomac State's offense was explosive, tallying 13 runs on 12 hits, while their pitching staff, led by Chloe Greise and Lacie Miller, kept Pennsylvania Highlands off the scoreboard, limiting them to just two hits.
The Catamounts took control early, scoring four runs in the first inning. Braylee Corbin set the tone with a solo home run, followed by a double from Ashton Spiker that drove in Jamie Kelly. Kameron Beck capped off the inning with a two-RBI single, making it 4-0.
Potomac State continued to build on their lead in the second inning, scoring two more runs. Corbin added a sacrifice fly to bring in Eva Ochoa, and Shaleigh Darlington's groundout allowed Corbin to score, making it 6-0. The offense exploded once again in the third inning, scoring seven runs. Beck and Ariana Herrera both recorded RBI singles, while Mowry doubled in two runs and Corbin doubled in one more. Spiker's two-RBI double rounded out the scoring, giving the Catamounts a commanding 13-0 lead.
On the mound, Greise was virtually untouchable, striking out eight batters and allowing just one hit in her three innings of work. Miller entered in relief and continued the shutout effort, allowing just one hit and recording two strikeouts over two innings.

Potomac State clinched a 10-1 victory over Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, in a dominant showing. The Catamounts' offense exploded in the second inning, scoring seven runs and setting the tone for the rest of the game, while their pitching staff allowed just one unearned run and recorded 10 strikeouts.
The Catamounts got off to a strong start in the first inning. Lindsay Mowry crossed the plate after reaching on a single, and Braylee Corbin's sacrifice fly brought her home. Skyla Compton's RBI single then pushed the lead to 2-0 after the first frame.
In the second inning, Potomac State took full control of the game. Lacie Miller drove in a run, and Corbin followed with an RBI single. The Catamounts kept the pressure on with a hit-by-pitch for Ashton Spiker, who then came around to score on a sac fly by Compton. Hailey Massie capped off the explosive inning with an RBI single, making it 8-0.
Potomac State's offense added two more runs in the fourth inning. Compton hit a two-run home run to left field, pushing the lead to 10-0.
While Potomac State was putting up runs, the Pennsylvania Highlands offense struggled to generate any real threats. They only managed three hits in the game, with their lone run coming in the fifth inning. Tara Corradini doubled in Brooke Snyder, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback, as Potomac State cruised to the 10-1 win.
Chloe Greise was fantastic in the circle for Potomac State, tossing 3.2 innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out eight. Lacie Miller came on in relief, pitching 1.1 innings and allowing just two hits and one unearned run.
