Catamounts sweep series over Corning

Keyser, WV- Potomac State scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on a pair of solo home runs from Mia Kincaid and Simone Blanks to win the opening game of a three-game series over Corning Community College by a score of 9-8.

Skylar Ross led PSC with three hits, while Alexis Bailey and Blanks had two hits apiece.

Brianne Stocks started the game on the mound and went five innings striking out eight.  Taylor Townsend picked up the win in relief after giving up two runs in her only inning of work.

In game two, Townsend returned to the mound and struck out twelve in five innings of work to lead PSC to a 7-4 win.

Maddie Anderson led the attack offensively with three hits and three runs batted in.

On Sunday Potomac State completed the sweep behind the Bailey and Blanks show again as the pair both went deep to lead PSC to a 10-8 win.

Bailey, Blanks and Stocks each drove in three runs as PSC improved to 4-1.

The Catamounts now head to Myrtle Beach, SC for a 7-game spring break trip.
