"The two guys I had competing for the day had their best performances of the season. Wyatt Gray came in being a guy that could potentially put himself into the all region team. Wyatt was running a great race and sitting in 5th place halfway through the 5 milerace, however, developed a bit of a side stitch and was able to finish out with a 3 minute PR and an 18th place finish. He had been dealing with some leg issues most of the season so it was really great to see him finally run to his potential and finish the season out on a good note. Isaiah Wharton also had a big day running a 2 minute 52second PR. I felt this was a great race for Isaiah as he had been one to typically tire out late in a race, and he really stayed focused in on nailing down his time. I am super proud of these guys and where they ended. This gives our new program something to build on with them and newer recruits for the following year"
