5-0 Win for the Catamounts on Homecoming

In front of a large Homecoming crowd, the Catamounts were victorious over Hagerstown Community College, outscoring them 5-0.  

 

Freshman Jayson Gordon starting the scoring in just the 8th minute off of an assist by Grant Dadisman.  The game settled after that point with both teams trying to control the play of the game.  At halftime the Catamounts went into the locker room 1-0 despite 19 shots taken in the 1st half. 

 

After halftime Coach Daniel Hott changed the entire lineup, looking for a way to solidify a win.  The changes worked as Tyrecce Francis scored in the 48th minute with Aiden Belcastro assisting.  Jayson Gordon found his 2nd goal of the game from Jan Haller in the 59th minute and Haller turned around to score on a corner in the 64th minute from Will Lapid's foot.  The final goal of the game came in the 84th minute from Edwin Gonzalez with Corbin McAllister providing the assist. 

 

Eathan Ashenfelter and Levi Crayton split time in net equally.  Ashenfelter recorded 2 saves and both put in the effort to secure the shutout. 

 

Overall, the Catamounts outshot the Hawks 39-3. The win improves the Catamounts to a record of 2-3-2 overall.  

 

Up next, the Catamounts travel to Howard Community College to take on the Dragons.
