The New Head Men's Soccer Coach is Hott

WVU Potomac State has named Daniel Hott Head Men's Soccer Coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Hott joined Potomac State as an assistant coach prior to the 2022 season, helping the Catamounts to the No. 3 seed in the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Tournament, where they fell in the semifinals. Hott was also the assistant coach of Potomac State's women's program, who went to the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Tournament as the No. 2 seed, but also fell in the semi-final game.

"I would like to thank WVU Potomac State College and the athletic department for this incredible opportunity to lead the men's soccer program", said Hott. "I am thrilled to continue to represent this college and an athletic department that values every student. This program has been on the rise for quite a few years, and I look forward to continuing that trend. I am very excited to work with the student-athletes already here and recruit future Catamounts who will succeed both in the classroom and on the field."

Hott owns a U.S. Soccer Federation 4v4, 9v9, 11v11 Grassroots Liscense. Hott gained coaching experience at the club level with AVID Alliance in 2020-2021, as an assistant coach for the U-19 boys. He also coached Fort Hill High School's spring team in 2018 and 2019.

As a competitor, Hott was a five year starter as a forward for Waynesburg University. He was a 4-year All-Conference selection and captain two years for the Yellow Jackets.

Hott earned a bachelor's degree in History from Waynesburg University in 2021.
