The Potomac State men's soccer team advances to the Region 20 semi-finals after a solid 7-2 win on Saturday vs Carroll Community College.

Potomac State's Rashid Nacif came out early and put away his first of three goals for the day in the 4th minute.  Grant Dadisman assisted Nacif's goal and then followed up in the 16th minute with a goal of his own to give the Catamounts an early lead against the Lynx.  However, less than a minute after Dadisman's goal, Carroll answered with a goal from Chase Fowble.  It would stay 2-1  with both teams having good opportunities until Nacif put away an assurance goal in the 39th minute, pushing the Catamounts into halftime holding a 3-1 lead.

The Catamounts came out quickly in the second half and Jacob Ritchie found the net off an assist from Dadisman.  The Lynx weren't ready to back down though, and Zach Gaegler put away Carroll's second goal in the 66th minute to make the score 4-2.

A flurry of goals in the last 10 minutes from Nacif (83rd), Samuel Otalora Riano (85th) and Dadisman (86th), secured the 7-2 victory for the Catamounts. Dadisman finished the game with 2 goals in 3 shots on goal and 2 assists, while Nacif pushes his goal count to 26 on the year, including 6 hat-tricks.

Catamount goalkeeper Tim Bailey finished with six saves in a complete game effort.
