Nacif Named NJCAA Soccer DII Men's Player of the Week

Potomac State Men's Soccer freshman forward Rashid Nacif proved how great of a season he's having by earning NJCAA Soccer Division II Men's Player of the Week honors. Nacif totaled eight goals and one assist on eleven shots on goal to recieve the week 6 Player of the Week.

Nacif started the week by scoring four goals on five shots on goal in the Catamounts 6-3 win at Carroll Community College on September 27th. He then scored the game eqializer in Potomac State's 1-1 tie against Allegany College of Maryland. Two days later, he recored a hat trick in the Catamounts 8-0 win at home against Christendom College.

A huge part of the Catamounts success offensively this season is thanks to Nacif who leads the team in goals (20), points (44), and second in assists (4). In NJCAA Division II men's soccer, his twenty goals scored has him ranked 2nd and he is currently tied for 3rd in points.

For a complete look at all NJCAA player's of the week, click here. The Catamounts return to action on Sunday, when they travel to Anne Arundel Community College for a Region 20 matchup at Siegert Stadium. Start time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
