Camren Wilkes had a game-high 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, in a 76-61 loss to visiting Howard Community College Wednesday evening at Lough Gym.

Howard came out firing, pressing the Catamounts, taking a 11-0 lead forcing Potomac State to take an early timeout. The Catamounts came out of the timeout and quickly got back on track and cutting the Dragons lead. Despite the Catamounts being able to get stops on defense and good looks offensively, nothing seemed to be falling for them in the first half and Howard would take a 38-25 lead into the break.

Both teams came out firing in the second half. The Catamounts continued to get stops on defense, but could not get anything to fall on the other end of the court. After frustrating the Dragons for some time in the second half, the Catamounts would soon cut the lead to 9, but could not come any closer.

Rodney Vilsaint scored 12 points in the Catamounts loss. Damian Thompson added 9 points, 3 assists, and 4 boards.

Jalen Bowie led the way for the Dragons with 15 points and O'Meech Wilson grabbed 16 boards.

The Catamounts travel to Westmoreland Community College Friday, December 8 for their next matchup. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
