Catamounts Overpower CCBC Dundalk

Tre' Segar poured in a game-high 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lift Potomac State to a 92-80 victory over CCBC Dundalk at Lough Gym, Tuesday Evening.

It was a tight game all the way around in a game that saw two ties and six lead changes. The first half was back and forth with both teams keeping it close. 

Richard Law dished out a game-high five assists to pair with 9 points and 8 boards for the Catamounts. Juliyen Johnson scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards, while Cayden Faucett and Gavin Barkley added 15 points each. K'Marion Dowe added 10 points to round off the Catamounts double digit scoring. 

Potomac State took a slight lead into break, leading 46-42. This was after going down by their largest deficit of the game, 10 points with ten minutes remaining in the first half. The second half was much of a repeat as the first. Both teams came out firing, keeping it close until the end.

The Catamounts were able to make some clutch shots toward the end of the game leaving the Lions no choice but to foul, and Potomac state was able to make their free throws to put the game out of reach. 

Christian Johnson scored a team-high 18 points for the Lions. Jackson Henry provided 14 points, along with 12 from Aaron Keels and 11 from Mikko Arnold.

 

 

The Catamounts will return to action January, 11 when they take on Northern Virginia Community College at home. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
