McHenry, MD - With a balanced attack, the WVU Potomac State College men's basketball team captured their third victory of the 2021-2022 season by beating Jamestown Community College, 90-58, in the Garrett College Classic.

All 12 Catamounts scored in this one with Malik Lacewell continuing to lead the way, this time with 17 points. Three other Catamounts reached double figures as Thaddaeus Jordan produced 11 points, and Juliyen Johnson and Isaac James each scored 10. James would also finish with nine rebounds, one shy of recording his second double-double of the season.

The first 11 minutes of the game produced a slightly tight contest where Potomac State found themselves up just 26-16. Then, a 24-2 run by the Catamounts in the last nine minutes of the first half blew the game wide open. A 50-18 deficit to begin the second half proved to be too much to overcome for Jamestown.

It was a great team effort by Potomac State as they were clicking on all cylinders. The Catamounts outrebounded the Jayhawks 45-31, only generated 10 turnovers to the Jayhawks' 20, and combined for 44 bench points.

Jamestown Community College was led by forward Keon Armstrong, who finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Elgin Oliver and Traden Gray contributed well off the bench by producing 12 and 11 points respectively.

Potomac State will look to follow up their great performance against Bryant and Stratton College (VA) on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the Lough Gym located on the PSC campus.
