HAGERSTOWN — Tyesha Taylor recorded a double-double, but Hagerstown held Potomac State shotless down the stretch as the Hawks edged out the Catamounts, 62-60, on Wednesday evening in college women’s basketball action.

Taylor tied a game-high with 19 points on nine field goals, one of which was a three-pointer. She also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Chelsea Cover led Hagerstown with 19 points on six buckets, half of which were from three-point range, and 4 of 7 shooting from the foul line.

Johnee’ Durham added 12 points, Bethany Arndt nine points and Haley Butcher finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Catamounts trailed at the end of each quarter, 18-11, 31-24 at halftime and 47-41 heading into the final quarter.

Down by two, PSC had the ball with 30 seconds remaining, but was unable to get a shot up against a stingy Hawks defense.

Potomac State (3-1) travels to Northern Virginia on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
