With Taylor On The Mound, Potomac State College Shuts Out College Of Southern Maryland

Taylor Townsend threw a gem on Saturday for Potomac State College, allowing zero runs and besting College Of Southern Maryland by a score of 2-0

The pitching was strong on both sides. Townsend struck out 14, while Skyler Clark sat down five.

One bright spot for College Of Southern Maryland was a single by Clark in the second inning.

Townsend was the winning pitcher for Potomac State College. She allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 14.

Clark took the loss for College Of Southern Maryland. She allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Potomac State College launched one home run on the day. Halei Johnson had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Josie Deneen led Potomac State College with two hits in three at bats.

Brittany Sorli went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead College Of Southern Maryland in hits. College Of Southern Maryland didn't commit a single error in the field. Haylee McClanahan had the most chances in the field with seven.
