Potomac State College Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Westmoreland County Community College

Potomac State College snatched the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Westmoreland County Community College on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Potomac State College batting in the top of the fifth when Shyann Farris singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Farris struck out five, while Chelsi Bartlow sat down three.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Westmoreland County Community College tied things up at one.

Farris pitched Potomac State College to victory. She surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Bartlow took the loss for Westmoreland County Community College. She surrendered two runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Potomac State College saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Katlyn Rasnake and Farris each racked up multiple hits for Potomac State CollegeRasnake led Potomac State College with three hits in three at bats.

Megan Monzo went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Westmoreland County Community College in hits. Westmoreland County Community College was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Monzo made the most plays with eight.
