After a back-and-forth game with Williamson College of the Trades, Potomac State came out on top with a win. The Catamounts went into the fourth quarter behind 8-6 and climbed back to win the game 11-8.

Offense - Major offensive contributors where Wylie Thunderhawk (2 goals), Trent Jolley. (2 goals and 1 assist), Nick Schaefer (2 goals and 1 assist) and Bentley king (3 goals and 1 assist).

"Our offense really found a way to play unselfishly and put trust in their teammates to make the plays we needed to control the tempo of the game. Four of the six offensive starters are true freshmen, it was really something special to see them play with that level of confidence in themselves and each other" - Coach Morris

Defense: On the defensive side of the ball, it was a group effort but the major contributors to friday night's win over Williamson Trades whereby the efforts of Mason Bowler (7 CTs and 2 ground balls), Brady Christiansen (3 cts, 7 groundballs, and 2 blocked shots), Jake Ritchie with (4 GBs, 1 ct, and 1 blocked shot, and Cole

"Defensively we have a young group of guys who play well together. They have formed a very tight nit group on the back end which has allowed us to play a very team focused defensive system that are boys executed at a high level." - Coach Morris

Special teams - Goaltending was split between JT Lundquist and Jared Foster. Lundquist finished the first half with a 67% save percentage and Jared Foster helped close out a win with a 50% save percentage.

Potomac State's second game of the weekend against Sussex started out fast in all three phases of the game. The most impressive stat of the day was first year faceoff man Michael London who in his third game at the position boasted a 60%-win rate.

"Mike has embraced his new role on the team and has come to work each day to focus on his craft. I'm incredibly proud of the work he's done for us so far this season."

Offensively Potomac State picked up where they left off on Friday with Wiley Thunderhawk netting 5 goals, Gavin Keniston (3 goals and two assists), Christian Darnell (2 goals 5 assists) and Trent Jolley with (8 assists)

"This weekend our offense found a way to play a very team centered game. Everyone trusted their teammates and that created a downhill momentum for us for the rest of the game." - Coach Morris

Defensively it was once again a group effort with a dominant performance from starting close defender Cole Boroughs(5 cts and 5gbs). JT Lundquist started the game off with an 80% save percentage and Jared Foster closed the game out with a 50% save percentage.

"The combination of our goalie's collective leadership has been great to work with. Both JT and Jared are starter quality in my eyes and they both work hard every day. The most impactful defensive player for us has been Cole Borough, Cole is a west coast product who loves to play the game with a high motor. He's constantly causing havoc on the defensive end of the field and has an unmatched lacrosse IQ off ball."
