Catamounts Down Cardinals

Catamounts Down Cardinals
Potomac State College secured a narrow 75-72 victory over CCBC Catonsville, overcoming a strong second-half push from the Cardinals.

Potomac State put together a collective team effort that propelled them to victory. Camren Wilkes led the way for the Catamounts with 18 points and 5 assists. Andre Grant added 14 points, while Damian Thompson had 14 points and 6 rebounds. Peter Quaye was a force on the boards with 11 rebounds to go with his 12 points, and Daniel Charlot posted 13 points with 16 rebounds. The team shot 38.9% from the field, including 25% from three-point range, and made 15 of 21 free throws.

CCBC Catonsville had a challenging shooting night, finishing at just 40% from the field, but they showed resilience, particularly from guard Karris Scott. Scott led all scorers with a 24-point performance on 10-of-18 shooting, adding 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Micah Morgan also contributed significantly with 17 points, including a 1-for-4 showing from beyond the arc. Even with a late push from the Cardinals, strong defensive performaces from the Catamounts proved to be the difference and helped Potomac State to the close victory.

The Catamounts will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Harford Community College to take on the Owls. Tip-off is slated for 3pm.
