
WVU Potomac State College fell to the Garrett Lakers with a final score of 58-86. Despite some strong individual performances, shooting percentage and turnovers would account for much of the Catamounts loss. Potomac State finished the game with just 33.8% from the field and 24% from beyond the arc.
Key Performances:
- Peter Quaye had an impressive outing, leading the team with 17 points. He shot 7-of-10 from the field and grabbed 12 rebounds, earning a double-double on the night.
- Damian Thompson was another standout player, contributing 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including a 3-for-4 effort from three-point range. He also helped facilitate the offense with 2 assists.
- Camren Wilkes played the full 37 minutes, scoring 10 points, but struggled with his shooting, making just 4-of-17 attempts from the floor. Despite this, he contributed with 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
While the team was able to secure 36 rebounds as a collective, including 14 offensive boards, they struggled to take advantage of their opportunities, especially from long range, where they made just 6-of-25 attempts.
The Catamounts look to bounce back Wednesday evening when they face Region 20 oppenent, CCBC Catonsville at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm.
