Potomac State College Can't Hold Up Against CCBC Catonsville

Potomac State College had a tough time generating runs on Saturday, dropping their game with CCBC Catonsville 11-3.

Potomac State College opened up scoring in the first inning. Halei Johnson doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

CCBC Catonsville evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning when Hailey Manning singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

CCBC Catonsville pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Alleshia Pullen doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and Casey Turner doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

CCBC Catonsville scored three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by CCBC Catonsville was led by Chrissy Jordan and Pullen, all driving in runs in the inning.

Akirra Pullen earned the win for CCBC Catonsville. She surrendered three runs on five hits over six innings, striking out two and walking one.

Shyann Farris took the loss for Potomac State College. She allowed seven hits and seven runs over three and a third innings.

Potomac State College tallied one home run on the day. Johnson had a long ball in the fourth inning.

Johnson led Potomac State College with two hits in two at bats.

CCBC Catonsville tallied 13 hits in the game. TurnerJordan, and Pullen each had multiple hits for CCBC Catonsville. Turner went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead CCBC Catonsville in hits. CCBC Catonsville didn't commit a single error in the field. Manning had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
