Miller, Berry lead Potomac State past Anne Arundel 17-4

Keyser, WV- Cole Miller and Andrew Berry had identical days as the pair of sophomores both went 4-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI’s to lead Potomac State to a 17-4 win over Anne Arundel today at Golden Park.

In all, the Catamounts hit four home runs as the banged out 23 hits in the seven-inning game. 

Juwuan Weaver and Hayden Almond both hit home runs for PSC, while Austin Chavis was a homer shy of the cycle with triple, double and a single. 

Austin Martin and Dale Houser also had three hits apiece for PSC. 

Potomac State jumped out to an early lead with a seven-run 1st inning that included eight hits.

Foster Conis was the beneficiary of all those runs as he picked up the win on the mound to improve to 5-0.  The freshman struck out six in four innings of work.  Nathan Kerr worked three scoreless innings to finish the game, striking out three.

Potomac State improves to 28-6 and will be back at home on Wednesday as the face off with Harford Community for a key Region XX Division 1matchup starting at 3PM.
