Catamounts secure 3rd consecutive women's championship

Potomac State's cross-country teams delivered a strong performance at the NJCAA Region 20 Championship, with the women bringing home the championship for the third year in a row. Addison Lease finished first for the team and first overall for Division II, with a time of 21:15.37.  The Catamounts then came across the line in quick sucession, placing 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 10th and locking in the win with a perfect team score.  No Catamount placed beyond the 10th slot, showing their clear dominance against their regional opponents. 

Lease, Hardy, Jarrett, and Everline earned All-Region Honors.

1st - Addison Lease - 21:15.37

3rd - Hannah Hardy - 22:50.44

4th - Baylee Jarrett - 22:56.56

5th - Averi Everline - 23:05.65

6th - Phaedra Payne - 23:23.17

10th - Leah McKenzie - 24:37.88

In the men's race Griffin Paugh finished first for the Catamounts as well as first overall for NJCAA Region 20 Division II.  William Boddy placed 6th overall with Logan Hetrick coming in 7th and Emmett Slayman finishing 11th.  Boddy and Slayman ran PRs on the year.  Paugh set a new NJCAA Region 20 course record and earned NJCAA All-Region Honors.

With their win, the Catamount women's team and individual men's finisher Griffin Paugh, will travel to Richmond, Virginia for the NJCAA National Championship on November 9th.
