Potomac State began the Region 20 Division II Tournament with a Semifinal matchup in Dundalk with third seeded College of Southern Maryland on Wednesday afternoon. The Catamounts made a late comback, but the Hawks were able to deny Potomac State the equalizer and finish with a 4-3 win over the Catamounts. Potomac State ends the season with an 9-6-0 record. College of Southern Maryland improves to 5-5-0 and advances to the Region 20 Division II Final when they will meet CCBC Essex.

Despite being out shot 14-5 in the first half, a goal from Hawks in the 32nd minute would make the game 1-0 and it would stay that way going into halftime. The Hawks came out hot in the second half scoring two goals in the first three minutes to take a 3-0 lead. The Catamounts got on the board in the 51st minute with a goal from Morgan Pyles, making the score 3-1.

The Hawks responded just four minutes later with a goal to make it 4-1. Nicole McManamay made it 4-2 in the 60th minute when she took a feed from Maggie Slocum. The game would stay that way until the 88th minute when Reagan Miller made it a one goal game with just under two minutes left to play.

Potomac State had a golden chance to tie the game with just under a minute left to play when Pyles took a shot just inside the box, but the Hawks keeper made a key diving save to keep the ball out of the net. The Hawks were able to gain possession and hold on as time expired to end the Catamounts season.

Kelsey O'Neal and Nevaeh Hamborsky shared time in net and finished with four saves combined for the Catamounts. Potomac State out shot the Hawks 25-9.
