Taylor, Durham lead PSC over Garrett 74-56

MCHENRY — Tyesha Taylor had a game-high 25 points en route to a double-double, and Johnee Durham added 18 points, as Potomac State defeated Garrett, 74-56, on Wednesday evening. 

Taylor had eight field goals, including a three-pointer, and was 8 for 11 from the free-throw line, to go along with 12 rebounds and three assists. Durham finished with eight baskets and 1 of 2 from the foul line. She also had four steals. 

Brie Kunis and Haley Butcher rounded out the Catamount scorers in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Butcher also grabbed seven rebounds.

Potomac State led at the end of every quarter (20-6, 33-22 and 55-41).

Sharatia Jefferson led the Lakers with 16 points. Nyasia Jones had 12, and Teyaurra Harris and Tyshira Joplin added 10 apiece.

The Catamounts (10-3) travel to Beaver County on Saturday for a noon tipoff. Garrett (3-8) plays at Chesapeake on Friday, 5 p.m.
