Catamounts finish season at the NJCAA World Series

WVU Potomac State's 2025 NJCAA World Series run came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Bryant & Stratton College (WI) in Oxford, Alabama.

The Bobcats took control early, scoring one in the 2nd and adding four unearned runs in the 4th. Despite solid contact, the Catamounts couldn't break through until the 7th inning when Shaleigh Darlington drove in Ashton Spiker for Potomac State's lone run. Spiker's triple earlier in the inning was a bright spot in the offense.

Skyla Compton and Braylee Corbin each added a hit, while pitcher Chloe Greise went the distance, allowing nine hits and five runs (only one earned), striking out three. The loss ended Potomac State's season at 39-6, wrapping up a campaign highlighted by a Region 20 Championship and Mid-Atlantic District title and a return to the national stage for the forth year in a row.
