Four Catamounts scored double figures to help lead Potomac State to a tight 68-67 win over CCAC, Thursday night at Lough Gym.
In a game that saw nine ties and eleven lead changes, Potomac State was able to close out the game in the final seconds.
Juliyen Johnson had a game-high 18 points and 8 rebounds for the Catamounts. Gavin Barkley shot 6-10 from behind the arc and provided 16 points and 5 rebounds. Tre' Segar and Caden Faucett added 14 and 13 points and 8 boards each.
Potomac State took a 36-33 lead into the break, led by 16 fist half points from Johnson.
Missed free throws and turnovers in the closing seconds kept CCAC in the game, but with 2 seconds left on the clock and a tough last second heave missed from Dre Jones, the Catamounts were able to to come away with the win.
Dre Jones scored a team-high 19 points and snatched 5 rebounds for CCAC. Jihaad Dennard provided 15 points and a team-high 13 boards.
The Catamounts will be back in action Tuesday, Dec 13, when they host CCBC Dundalk at 6:00.
