Keyser, WVa. – Cortney Walton scored a game-high 24 points and added 13 rebounds to lead Potomac State College to a 116-74 win over Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Wednesday night at Lough Gymnasium.

Potomac State traded baskets in the opening minutes with Penn Highlands before easing to a 14-9 lead at the 15:27 mark of the first half on a Qualeke Bush layup. The Catamounts consistently extended their lead throughout the first half. When Walton pulled an offensive rebound and converted the follow up, they held a 49-31 advantage with 1:47 remaining before the break.

PSC opened the second half outscoring the Black Bears 19-2 in the first four minutes. The lead stood at 70-38 with 15:25 to play and the Catamounts cruised the rest of the way.

For the game, Walton shot 9 of 15 from the floor including 5 of 8 three pointers and converted his only foul shot in leading five teammates in double figures.  Bush and Tayon English had 17 point each, Jordan Davis had 15 points, Jalen Williams 13 points and Keon Lewis 10 points for the Catamounts.

The Black Bears were led by Taquarius Belcher with 28 points that included five three pointers.  Matthew Forbes also reached double figures at 14 points.

Potomac State's record is 1-3 (the Catamounts forfeited their first three games of the season after self-reporting an ineligible player to the NJCAA on Tuesday). They travel to Butler County Community College for a 7 p.m. game on Friday, Nov. 22.
