Cortney Walton had a game-high 22 points leading Potomac State past CCAC-Boyce, 100-49, on Friday evening.
It was the Catamounts' first win since moving up to No. 2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Poll on Tuesday. The Catamounts (20-0) were previously ranked fourth. They received one first-place vote earlier in the week and now only trail Kirkwood (Iowa), who sits at 20-2 on the season and riding a 10-game winning streak.
Walton knocked down nine field goals, four of which were from beyond the three-point stripe, and was one of five Catamounts in double figures.
Ramone Williams added 16 points, Calvin Wilder 13, and Colin Smith and Dino Noe 10. All 13 Potomac State players reached the scorebook.
Leondre Rogers tacked on six assists and three steals and Jalen Williams had five boards, four assists and four steals.
The Catamounts led at the conclusion of each period 25-11, 58-28 and 83-39.
Potomac State travels to Butler today, 2 p.m., before traveling to No. 16 Frederick (14-8) on Monday at 7 p.m.
