Complete games from Webb, Conis lead Catamount sweep over Cecil

Keyser, WV- A pair of well-pitched games coupled with timely hitting led Potomac State to a sweep over Cecil College by scores of 12-2 and 10-0.

In the opening game PSC starter Colt Webb was dominate as the sophomore struck out eight of the nineteen batters he faced.  He allowed just two runs, both unearned, walked none and gave up two hits.

Austin Martin and Pete Costigan each drove in two runs with a pair of hits each.  Abe Stearns also drove in two runs with a single in a ten run third inning.

The Catamounts sent 14 batters to the plate in the big inning that included seven hits.

In Game two, Foster Conis gave another quality start for Potomac State.  The freshman was efficient and made quick work of the Seahawk lineup allowing just two singles in the 5-inning game. He struck out four, walked just one and did not allow a runner to reach second base.

Dale Houser led the offense with a triple and hist first home run of the year.  He drove in four runs and scored three runs.

Costigan drove in three runs with an RBI groundout in the first inning and a two-run double in the second inning.

Hayden Almond went 3-3 with three singles while Joel Spishock drove in a pair of runs with a double and single.

Potomac State improves to 22-5 on the season.
